In our main store on Dunville Avenue, we are lucky enough to house our own Kitchen, (it's tucked away neatly upstairs) . It is here that our busy team of experienced chefs produce the huge range of fresh quality foods (homemade soups, meats, salads, dinners, cakes) that is available on both of our stores.
In our main store, we offer the freshest of fruit and vegetables. The quality of our meat, the choice and selection is inspiring, and our skilled fishmonger presents the finest and freshest of fish. We have a wonderful selection of cheeses from Irish producers and from Europe. Our delicatessen presents our range of homemade produce.
We are delighted to be associated with our specialist partners.... Lawlor's Butchers, the top award-winning butcher in Dublin and Sheridan's Cheesemongers, Ireland's finest.
In our second store on Hatch Street, we offer our quality range with flair and service, a selection of homemade soups, salads and sandwiches. We are again delighted to be associated with our specialist partner Diep.
In both of our stores, our partners share our commitment to great tasting food, offering the quality foods that you deserve.
Morton's began in the 1930's when bicycles were the normal modes of transport, and how Charles Morton used to make his way to the Fish Market in Smithfield, and the fish was delivered by horse and cart.
These were the beginnings of Morton's on Dunville Avenue in 1934. Of course, while many things have changed, we like to think that some things remain the same, the quality and range of our produce and the friendly faces that greet you.
1934 Morton's Fish and Veg Shop was established by Charles and Esther.
1953 Albert Morton opened a grocery shop on the corner of Dunville Avenue and Moyne Road
1960's Charles and Esther Morton, along with sons Albert and Charles combined their shops to create C . Morton & Sons
1985 Morton's expanded the store and introduced a kitchen for home cooked meals.
2004 Morton's celebrated 70years in business
2007 Further expansion brought our Kitchen upstairs above the store, and added Cafe21
2008 Morton's opened a store in the vaults of the old Harcourt Street Railway Station, at Park Place, Hatch Street, Dublin 2.
