Côtes du Rhône is made from a blend of grapes, usually incorporating Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre. Guigal is known as “the greatest winemaker on the planet”, This has a very fruity nose of plum and black cherries and almost a smoky edge. On the palate can be found smooth, chocolatey black cherry and redcurrant flavours. It’s full-bodied and easy-drinking and would make a lovely match for a meaty pasta sauce. Well balanced with a lengthy finish.
