Aroma – Red berries, spice
Grape – Pinot Noir
Taste – Balanced, acidity, good structure, vanilla, smoky oak, raspberry, strawberry, spice
Geil produces Pinot Noir (known as Spatburgunder in Germany) in a very Burgundian style. On the palate, it has balanced acids and beautiful structure with flavours of vanilla and smoky oak bursting through, and full flavours of raspberry, strawberry, and spice. Their wines are very age-worthy; it gains savoury, leathery tastes as it matures.
