Morton’s Food Philosophy

Mortons Food Philosophy

Here at Morton’s of Ranelagh we operate a very busy food production kitchen servicing both our food store here and our sister store in Hatch street. With 25 years of industry experience Mary Farrell heads up a team of 14 staff in her kitchen to bring together a wide variety of prepared foods for a diverse range of tastes offering a balanced selection to meet the needs of our customers.

We are committed to using as many local ingredients as possible. When this is not possible we actively source the best produce realizing that our customers like a variety of flavours and options. We also strive to focus on seasonality; while this is not always possible it is an important element to our food product offering. We are continually reviewing and indeed expanding our offerings, coming up with new ideas, testing them and then assessing our customer’s reaction to them, who at the end of the day are the real taste experts. Mary’s background in nutrition has allowed us to increase our focus on a wide range of dietary specific, healthy and vegetarian options (soups, dinners, salads, sweet treats).

At the same time we stress the key to the “good life” is balance, therefore we offer lots of tasty healthy options, and plenty of indulgent offerings. With some of the best pastry chefs in the business, it would be a crime if we didn’t offer something healthy but sweet.
